Community Meeting RoomArt historian Denise Laurin will teach you how to view life through the lens of art by studying artwork from the Art Institute of Chicago.
In this unique museum visit, the little heroine of the popular book “Mona’s Eyes” arrives from Paris to view selected works from our own Art Institute of Chicago.
Just as in the novel, this presentation features work created over a period of five hundred years from a variety of cultures, genres and media. Some works are familiar favorites, others are “hidden” treasures. Curated by artist and art historian Denise Laurin, this talk provides lessons in how to really see, how to view life through the lens of art, and the commonality of us all.
