Safina Uberoi will join us to provide an update on the restoration of the Bagley House, discuss balancing historical preservation with modern living, and offer advice on renovating a historic home.
Preservationist Safina Uberoi, Vice President of the Frank Lloyd Wright Building Conservancy, and her husband Lukas Ruecker purchased Hinsdale’s Frederick Bagley House in 2021 and are working to restore it. Safina and Lukas have experience restoring the Frank Lloyd Wright- designed Gerald and Beverly Tonkens House in Cincinnati, and bring a wealth of expertise to their Hinsdale project.
Safina will join us to provide an update on the restoration of the Bagley House. She will talk about balancing the desire for historical preservation with the needs of modern living and offer practical advice on renovating a historic home. Discussion will include what to consider when purchasing historic Hinsdale homes in the context of our new Title 14 revisions and Historic Overlay District.
