Join us for a staged reading of Swan Soong, a new play by Jyl Bonaguro and set in 1940s war torn Shanghai, follows the lives of the famous Chinese Soong Sisters and early feminist and Wilmette, IL local “Mickey” aka Emily Hahn. Love, humor and double crossing abound as these one-time celebrities' stories are woven together to reveal the power of family and the beginnings of modern China. Q&A following performance  Please note: a staged reading means the actors read from scripts with limited staging and costumes

Doors open at 6:00. Performance of Staged Reading: 6:30 with approximately 2 hour run time including 1 intermission. Q&A following the performance. 

Directed by Marc Rita and starring Lina Jean Fritz as Ai-ling Soong, Eunice Park as Ching-ling Soong, Mira McCarthy as May-ling Soong, Flavia Pallozzi as Mickey Hahn, Daniel Ahn as Sinmay Zau & Generalissimo, and Leo Zhu as T.V. Soong & Big Eared Tu.
